Just wondering if any home brewers out there have sent a slab of their beer back to the UK from inside Australia?
I have a feeling that customs would make this difficult for reasons of which are no...

Re: What is a good daily rate for an IT PM contracting in Sydney?

IT PMs where I am just now are on $1000+ per day, contract.

Junior positions being offered on seek for $700.

I've been told...

Re: Mobile Phone

Don't wait until you get to Australia.

I'd advise first chucking in a mate's Vodafone or other service providor SIM and seeing if it works in your handset. If it doesn't, contact O2 and ask for...

Re: Are you using Myki?

I’ve been using Myki for 5 weeks now and I’m FAR from impressed. Apologies in advance for the rant, but it has disgusted me reading how much the Victorian tax payer is still forking out for this...

Re: WHV -> 820 Onshore Defacto

Where is the non-Aussie partner from?

If it’s only 2 days short, I believe this would be negligible but I am only speaking from my own experience going from WHV to 820 some years ago.

If the...

Re: Irn Bru thread (for serious drinkers only!)

I've bought both diet and 'full fat' Irn Bru from the big supermarkets here in Melbourne. Coles, Woolworths. They are plastic 1 litre bottles for $1.79.

There is also an import sweet shop in...

Re: tricky situation...

I would hope that you would have a fair chance on the spouse application.

Re: Second stage spouse visa - Questions..

I wasn’t asked for the form 80. It seems some people are, some aren’t.
I sent a couple of bills which were lying around and they were returned to me with the police check when it was approved....

Re: Rocky Ground - help

There is nothing stopping you applying for another visa whilst on the defacto temp visa. E.g., skilled or company sponsored.
George Lombard or a similar agent will be able to assess your eligibility...

There was an 11 week turnaround at the Melbourne Second Stage processing centre, and keeping in...
