On top of vacation days, personal time and sick leave, as a state employee I also have the joy of furlough days (forced unpaid leave) both fixed furlough days on set dates that cannot be negotiated...

I agree, it's a lot of work to go through to risk losing it. Even in the case of marriage it's still a tonne of work.

Well that sucks, it might be cheaper to just apply for citizenship in 3 years time and pay for that rather than renewing the GC every 10 years!

I work for state government and at entry level we earn 8 hours a month of sick leave and 8 hours a month of vacation leave, we also get 24 hours personal time a year. On top of there there are...

Thanks, I think I will make a colour photo copy and carry that in my wallet, and store the original in my safe. I'd hate to have to replace it if my purse was stolen! Perhaps if I plan on crossing...
