Nope they hadn't lived together before. That's so unfair for you! I think they "maintained" their relationship just through letters, phone calls... same stuff you've got.

INZ are so random! I know someone that got the temp work visa under partnership and they weren't living together (he was coming to join her in NZ after his visa was granted.

Do you have a joint lease? Or you ask for his name to be put on the lease and then include that. I'd also recommend getting a joint bank account set up and including a satement or two.......

Technically you wouldn't need the medical or police cert just yet but if I were you I would give INZ a call and just verify that (but make sure you clarify you are applying for a temp work visa) :)

Just leave the leaving NZ part blank. That's what we did and they never complained.

You should be ok. Your partner should be too. Technically your partners visa would be invalid but INZ aren't going to know that you've split. Only prob will be when you have to renew your visa. ...

You should be fine. Same thing happened with us and some people are just prone to higher levels. As long as their not 6 times higher than they should be (but then you'd be having liver failure)...

Technically you aren't able to convert from a visitor's visa to a work visa but it worked for my brother's girlfriend. I don't think they're all that strict.
