1. Yes I will be applying an offshore VISA, probably 175, depends on the points that I can claim for.

The Academic module is merely for NIA or CPA Australia to verify your accountant status. If you have already obtained the letter from one of these bodies, you may go for the GT. However, to play...

In this case, I should be getting 125 points at this moment.

Look like the chances of getting the ITA is rather slim, based on the previous pool results.

The academic IELTS is required by the assessment bodies, not DIAC. It has got nothing to do with DIAC.

You got your point ! My IELTS exam is scheduled on 19/07. I was thinking of changing the module from GT to Academic.

I will write to DIAC tomorrow and see what's their reply then.

Survive is one thing. All Accountants are not required to sit IELTS ACADEMIC Modeule instead of GT.

The new requirement is IELTS in ACADEMIC MODULE, not GT. I wonder they want Accountants to write ACADEMIC essays ?

I agree with your opinion. You will find it tough if you do not have good english standard.

However, this policy should apply across all applications and occupations.
