IELTS - General or Academic
Hi
I am about to book an exam for IELTS as I think I will require a score of 7 for state sponsorship - I am an accountant. When I went on to the IELTS website there were two options - academic and general. Could somebody please advise which exam it is I need to take?
Thank you
Dawn

Accountants need IELTS for skills assessment, you need academic for this purpose.

Thank you for all your replies. I have already had my skills assessed by the NIA and they accepted my qualification (CIMA) without IELTS. However, when I was looking at various websites SA is stating that Management Accountants need IELTS 7 for state sponsorship. I think I may go for academic as will hopefully cover all requirements (fingers crossed).
