Re: Project Manager needing help!

I have no idea about your job, but I do know that if you are not in an occupation on the list then yes migration through occupation is not going to happen I am afraid.

Re: Will we pay tax on UK rental income whilst on 12 month Australian holiday visa?

He wasn’t missing the point as far as I can tell. Whether you are tax resident or not is completely irrelevant. Your UK rental income subject to taxation in the UK regardless of your residency...

Re: Spider decision

I only found flies annoying in Western Australia, rarely saw them in Sydney, in fact I almost forgot about them and then I came back to the UK and remembered how annoying they are in summer.

I...

Re: Spider decision

We had one huntsman in the house in five years, it ignored us up on the ceiling and we ignored it and after a day or two it wandered off. I saw no more spiders in Australia than in UK. If you can...

Re: Extended Contract Employer

Well if you needed the extra time you probably should have waited to apply. In any case you still cannot claim for experience that hasn’t happened yet. Perhaps you need to retract your...

Re: Extended Contract Employer

You can’t put a future date on work experience, you might have a row with the boss and get fired tomorrow.

Do you need the extra two months for any reason? If not, I would not be worrying...

Re: Working for a UK Company, Advice Needed

Working holiday visa? Not a working visa, that could mean anything..

Could you get a working holiday visa? It would be the easy solution for you if so.

Re: CITIZENSHIP TEST AND INTERVIEW

I am not sure what your question is or what you want advice on. So they had some queries in the meeting, but then you went ahead with test, have you been asked to send anything else on?

Re: Alternative to 457 to PR

You could spend 20 years on a 457 and it still may not mean PR, why your friend thinks that 12 years and three 457 visas leads to PR is a mystery. Any case it is being replaced.

Your friend needs...

Re: 457 to 187 47 years old!!

So you don’t want clarification of your visa position. You just want to collate a list of people in the same situation? Why?

Re: Info/Advice on a nurse wanting to move to Australia with her family

No you are not too old.

Do you think you could answer the question “where is the safest place to bring up children in Europe?” I exoect not. Australia and UK have about the same crime rate,...

Re: 1-2 years in Australia. Which visa?

No visa for a one / two year stay unless you could find a sponsoring employer, which does not look realistic. Australian brother does not help. You need to apply for a partner visa.

Re: Stuck, can't go back! - permanent resident visa problem

If the visa was definitely only granted two years ago, then the airline has made a mistake. Happened to us one time in Manchester and one time in New Zealand when the airline just couldn’t see the...

Re: 457/TSS deadline to provide docs

If neither you nor the employer are in a rush and you are after a permanent move then why not carry on with the 189 application and take up job when you are ready.

You will be given a time frame...

Re: Q on 186 Visa

You already know that they are replacing the 457 though as it has been mentioned above? The replacement temporary visa will have no pathway to PR.

I do not know about the dates, other than I...

Re: Q on 186 Visa

It never was as straightforward as they have made it sound to you above and is much harder now. I saw an agent post that they would not take any new 457 applications after the end of February...

Re: Remote work for UK company whilst on WHV

Oh maybe I misread. I thought she was going to be carrying out the work whilst she was in Australia.

If she is just receiving her accumulated holiday pay, then I agree of course there is no issue.

Re: Remote work for UK company whilst on WHV

If you only carry on working for them for a few months the six month rule is not relevant either way is it?

They cannot pay you as an employee on UK payroll, they need to either administer...

Re: NSW & Victoria States 190 Visa

You won’t be able to work in Sydney or Melbourne on the 489 which would not be a good start for a career in IT.

Re: Move to New York or Sydney?

A salary of $135k in Sydney is not good for a family but decent for a single person and would enable you to rent a one bed apartment by yourself somewhere near the CBD, it won’t be a flash...

Re: Lack of UK credit history

No idea about renting, but if you can prove income and perhaps some savings I am sure that will help.

We found that nobody is going to give out credit unless you have been resident in the country...
