No visa for a one / two year stay unless you could find a sponsoring employer, which does not look realistic. Australian brother does not help. You need to apply for a partner visa.

Oh maybe I misread. I thought she was going to be carrying out the work whilst she was in Australia.

They cannot pay you as an employee on UK payroll, they need to either administer...

No idea about renting, but if you can prove income and perhaps some savings I am sure that will help.

We found that nobody is going to give out credit unless you have been resident in the country...
