Just to clarify one issue- there is limited recognition of ACCA by CPA Australia- you have to do approx six further exams to gain the CPA qualification which is ludicrous- they told me they regard it...

Perfectly achievable, though maybe not with working full time at the same time, I have done two exams at several sittings without too much stress and got distinctions and credit.... advanced tax is...

Anyone on here opened a bank account in Australia from overseas, we will be arriving in Perth from Ireland and would like to have some funds transferred across before we go.

Thanks to everyone for their comments...I'm laughing at Jenny's....it must be quite different in the UK but 99% of Irish 4*4s have never ever gone offroad and I'd guess 90% plus never been out side...

Car values second hand in Ireland, and also in Northern Ireland to some degree, have fallen through the floor, whereas while new values are cheaper in Oz, secondhand residuals seem quite high?

There is a resit fee, I had a quick look in their members area but couldn't find it, I don't think it's anything like as dear as the original fee

I wouldn't worry too much, they're very easy,...

Interesting points raised, JAJ, when I started studying 11 ACCA years ago. CA was almost exclusively associated with public practice, though this has changed, Irish CPA then and now generally derided...
