Re: Two and a half years in......

Why would the glasshouse be of any interest to me?

Home from home for you though I imagine.

Re: Two and a half years in......

Trolling now?

Seriously, you are really clutching at straws. I have articulated why I hate it here and responded to others responding to me. I was also called insane.

Trolling?

Who is...

Re: Two and a half years in......

That'll be it, yes I'm crazy because I object to living around racism, family violence, poor infrastructure, bullying, inherent stupidity, high living costs, poor governance and a myriad of other...

Re: After 4.4 years, i've had enough of NZ

If something drives you insane, then remove it from your life. You make no sense whatsoever I'm afraid, getting out of somewhere every few months, to stay sane, is simply ludicrous.

If it's that...

Re: Two and a half years in......

Are you a 'born again' Kiwi? You must be with that '12 posts in 2 years' nonsense - sounds like the reason why many ex-pats can't settle because they don't have family that got deported here 180...

Re: After 4.4 years, i've had enough of NZ

You have to go to the UK to keep going? Am I the only one who sees the issue inherent with that statement?

If you have to be somewhere else just to keep going, then what's the point?

Re: Do I stay or do I go?

They don't need to, they are part of the EU, it's an entitlement.

Re: Two and a half years in......

I have PR but my contract pays a bonus after 3 years - I want my money and then I'm gone. <snip>

I'm told they take the edge of the misery that living here eventually hits most ex-pats when they...

Re: Two and a half years in......

Yes it is disrespectful. I'm not swearing in the first person context either, I'm merely repeating the standard response one gets if one so much as indicates an opinion that the blinkered and...

Re: After 4.4 years, i've had enough of NZ

As soon as my contract is up, I'm going to burn my PR visas up and make like a banana out of here. I will never return, this place has so much going for it but is being run into the ground by...

Re: Two and a half years in......

What an utterly disrespectful post you've made, typical of the blinkered approach that the locals adopt as well as a few ex-pats - how long before someone says that old Kiwi classic 'IF YOU DON'T...

Two and a half years in......

......and I just don't get it. If there are a more inward, casually racist, obstinate and rude group of people then I've yet to meet them. Admittedly I'm in Auckland but the only friends we have are...

We were not interviewed over the phone but have been told that we going to be granted PR after submitting all the documentation that is required. Good news for us but why were we not interviewed?

Re: Any Police here?..

While I understand why you might want to move to NZ - am I alone in wondering what's the point of Essex Police about to train someone, at taxpayers expense, to be a PC when they are about to foxtrot...

Le Bons Bay Backpackers is Closing

I'm gutted - the best three days of my life were spent there with my wife and children. Great food, superb host and a fantastic boat trip to play with dolphins.

PR & Fibromylagia

Hi, first time poster.

We are in the process of applying for PR on the basis of a job offer my wife has as a nurse. All the usual form filling followed and a couple of extra questions were asked...
