We took the forms sent from the embassy (the one with the photo on) and that was the only thing they requested apart from the passports.

I did take quite a lot of paper work just in case;...

If you can go to London I would as you know it will only take 2 weeks. I sent my passports via the post ( i also sent a special delivery SAE so i knew the passports wouldn't get lost in the post)...

I didn't have any contracts from previous employers so I provided as much information as I could. I obtained references for some employers and also copied payslips. I didn't hear back from one...

If it was me I would list all the contracts and dates worked etc and then pick the easy contracts where you can get a reference. I imagine the embassy will just want an explanation to show you have...

You need to fill in the form and follow the instructions on the following website:

They returned the certificates pretty quickly...

Yeah myself and hubbie had a police certificate, it was easy to do and had them within 10 days. We did get an extra copy each just in case but we've not used them.
