Blimey from one hot place to a furnace!! I've heard Dubai is lovely though and I hope to visit someday...soon:) Retirement Perth/Oz ok for some but definitely not for me!

I know just how you feel and there nothing anyone can say that will make you like Perth/Australia better, you either like it or you don't. I don't think living in a different country can 'grow on...

Sometimes, during the winter the rain becomes a pain, but only because I ride a lot and get wet!! I'd rather ride and get wet though than ride and melt;)

Honestly though, theres no perfect place...

I can remember telling people we had to keep indoors when it was very hot, how silly they said...its only the UK where you have to stay indoors, beacuse it rains all the time!!!!:lol:
