Hi Tee,

Do you go to newcomers at the Rendezvous? If you do, we've probably already met. If not, please let me know and we'll meet up. Look forward to hearing from you.

Re: BUPA in NZ

We have been to Southern Cross, Tower, Sovereign, etc and they all say the same. They used to follow an international, reciprocal agreement (which most countries still do) but they have stopped it...

Re: BUPA in NZ

Looked at BUPA international. Costs a fortune and most stuff covered we don't need. All we need is specialists, tests such as MRIs and hospital in-patient. Just need it mainly for elective stuff...

Any Mums in Christchurch, Lincoln or Rolleston?

We moved to Rolleston, just south of Christchurch, a couple of weeks ago. With our three children (14, 9 and 6) at school and my husband out working, I'm feeling really cut off from the world. Is...

Re: BUPA in NZ

We've just arrived in NZ and can't get anyone to take over our health care from overseas. The companies here want to exclude all pre-existing conditions (even though we have had constant private...

Re: We've got it!!!! Christchurch bound

We arrived in Christchurch last week and don't know anyone. If any of you come here, or are already here, I would love to hear from you as I haven't met anyone yet. It's very different here and not...

Re: Doha Airport X-rays?

I agree. They've also taken off kids' cold medicine as it's not safe. They have also recently released they they don't know if the multiple x-rays in a CAT scan will cause cancer over many years as...

Re: Doha Airport X-rays?

Sounds like I've got great advice from you out there in cyberland. Thanks for putting my mind at ease. IF an x-ray is needed it's a one off and not every trip in, which was my greatest concern as I...

Re: Doha Airport X-rays?

Roadking, was it like it was for Kitty's husband with the visa medical in Doha or did you get around it by having it done before you left or a Mantoux test for TB or something? Don't want a risk of...

Re: Doha Airport X-rays?

That's scary. Is it everytime you enter the country? Don't want to get cancer if I have to go out for business every few weeks.

Re: plan on moving to Australia

We didn't totally see the anti-pom sentiment whilst in Australia. We only realised how much we were ignored once we left as in Canada and America we have gone back to having lots of friends. We have...

Re: plan on moving to Australia

Exclamation Re: Qatar Oil/Gas Work

Whatever you do DON'T go to Canada! The health system there is considered at a par to Romania by the EU and far below the UK, although this has been covered up in Canada. Plus you can't go privately...
