Thanks wilson01. I would hope having PR would improve my chances but I guess it depends on what profession/trade a person is in.
A friend of mine is a paramedic and he was offered a job without PR....

I've considered Australia and come down to Sydney/Melbourne.

The factors I see to take into consideration are:
Work availability
Cost of Living
Weather
Friends/Network
