Default Getting Sponsored

Hi,
I have read through a lot of literature over the last few weks and it seems I would only get into Canada if an employer sponsored me.

I've read on these forums that Canadian employers will not employ you unless you meet them face to face.

I've also read that applications (historically) have taken a long time to process.
So my questions is, those that have managed to get sponsorship, how did you do it?

I work in IT but not in IT management.
Regards
Matello

There is no 'job sponsorship' - the only thing an employer has to do (in most but not all cases) is apply for a LMO (which takes about 6 weeks). You then apply for a TWP (can be done at POE so would be instant). So a TWP application will not normally take long, it's finding the job that usually takes longer!

Most people will have followed the instructions and info in this Wiki section, that's how they will have had success with being offered a job..........http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Catego...Hunting-Canada

Good luck.

Very good! There's also an 'Abbreviations' page in the Wiki if you want to find it and bookmark it for your future reference.
