One thing fyi though: I don't know about the rest of Canada, but the snow we get here in Calgary is usually the dry variety; great for sliding about on, but doesn't hold well enough together for ease of making snowmen or snowballs!

Hmm interesting. It's the first time I an remember not being able to make a snowman (or at least one with a proper head). My 4 year-old was not impressed.
