Re: British citizenship for my baby born in Canada?

Many thanks for your prompt response.

I'm presuming that a certified copy of my birth certificate is considered to be an original for this purpose?

Thanks again.

British citizenship for my baby born in Canada?

I'm wondering if someone can clarify the situation I have. I've spent the past two days trawling posts on here and the relevant UK government websites but one post seems to contradict another and one...

Re: Truck Drivers in PEI

99% of the companies here take on foreign drivers. Ayr Motors have good work and equipment but the way they work makes it a big no no for most people, which is why they have 40 different...

Re: Truck Drivers in PEI

Don't bother with PEI, the standard of work available there is very poor with only a few long haul firms and its all reefer work with the usual endless unpaid waiting time and expectation to then run...

Re: Border control Heathrow non EU passport holder

Thanks for your reply. I've just been chatting to a friend of mine who works for BA in Heathrow and she advised us to go down our own separate lines as he says that the immigration officials are...

Re: Border control Heathrow non EU passport holder

Further to this question. I'll be arriving back in Heathrow next week with my Canadian girlfriend for a three week holiday and to visit my parents for Christmas. I'd rather not be separated from her...

Passport back from London, BUT....

Hello all.

I got my passport back from the London embassy about a week ago with my PR visa laminated inside. The only problem is that the paperwork that accompanies it, under the section where it...

Re: Passport request but no file number

After talking to my immigration consultant yesterday he said that we do have my file number so I can write it on the back of the photos as usual etc, the only discrepancy was that the embassy in...

I had my passport request a few days ago but according to my immigration agent they did not write my file number on it. He thinks it wont be a problem but it does state in the instructions that I...

Re: F*** Me an sensible thread - Digi Logbooks

This is just it though, its all totally pointless and does nothing but restricts our freedom and treats us like machines. If they would build in some safe guards against stranding drivers in unsafe...

Re: F*** Me an sensible thread - Digi Logbooks

So what, just because we can adjust, it doesn't mean its a good thing. Tachos in Europe make you a prisoner in the cab and digital tachos are worse again. The stresses of the job back home are a...

Re: F*** Me an sensible thread - Digi Logbooks

As far as I'm concerned it will be a total disaster. The big companies will be ok with their hundreds of drop trailers and no waiting time but for everyone else it will be a nightmare. I dont like...

Having only heard all the rumors about AYR I cannot comment on them too much, but at face value I dont know why anyone would put up with it. We have several ex AYR motors drivers and O/O's working at...

Re: mailing address in PEI

In house training in Canada usually means being given a few books to read and a truck to practice on yourself or with other newbies, unless you work for someone like Bison or Midland. But yes, I do...

Nope, I was in there last Monday from 4:30am to 11:30am (as per usual!) with a mixed load from Toronto. Now that is one place I really dislike going to.

Re: mailing address in PEI

No one will care if Bulk Carriers has bedrooms or not, all they want is an address to put into their system under your name so that post can be sent to you.
There can't be too much risk of any come...

Re: mailing address in PEI

Why can't you just use Bulk Carriers address for all your mail and official stuff like driving licence? Surely they can't be so stingy as to not let you? All the European drivers here at Donnelly...

Re: New Brunswick PNP questions.

I think I'll definitely go in and speak to someone face to face in Fredericton at some point. I'll need to find out what constitutes a visit to New Brunswick because it does say if you have not...
