Where I live - a lot of ex-pat Victorians tell me Sydney's by far better for the outdoors and beach culture here than in St Kilda and the like.

Oops! Made a wee mistake, Brisbane is actually behind Adelaide's by one degree but before the heatwave, Adelaide was averaging 29.5oC.

Just don't expect Sydney to be "cheap". It's the most expensive city in Australia. Very high cost of living but wages are quite high compared to other cities.

Recommend shopping at Aldi first for...
