Stopped using my android box some time, now doing everything tv related on a 4kMax Firestick. Integrates way better into my home cinema setup. Integration with Alexa makes it far more convenient.

For sure. Aside from tje speed refuction with a vpn, which may not be relevant if you have a fast connection. But for some it means tje difference between streaming UHD and HD..

You don't need VPN to watch UK tv. Often providors like iplayer will block vpn access as 99 times out of 100 its an expat from somewhere accessing the service. An altenative, and preferable solution ...

That is a solution, but personally i find it too much hassle to have to load a different app when i want to watch a diffetent channel.. Plus of course there's no overall epg.

Right now I'm subscribed to tvmucho for uk tv. No vpn (although a vpn isn't normally needed just dns redirection for iplayer etc), stable streams, reasonably priced at 72e per year. Alternatively...

Plenty of reasons, aside from use when visiting the UK. For example I still have a number of bank accounts registered to a UK address. They need a UK contact number.

They give them away for free in the UK, boxes of 7. We brought 4 boxes back with us earlier this month.
