We found this true of shorts too, especially when they are little and have nappies on the shorts are slightly bigger. My daughter was wearing her shorts for 1 year old until she was about 6...

I pay about $50 per session, you can get them for less if you bulk book appointments. We have Medibank and so receive a little back on the cost.

May have to go along the surgery route...

Not tried this myself but was told that good old furniture polish works, spray it on thick leave it to soak then peel it off. Don't think there is anything that can harm your white goods in that.
