You need to handle this the UAE way. Agree to do it and then don't show up... repeat until they give up

MH if you don't tell them to **** right off I won't talk to you again.
What a shit school!!! Tell GEMS /KHDA immediately.
And if you tell us which school this is, everyone will know and won't send their kids there.

Can I just say that reading all this was MUCH more fun than my usual forum diet of "where to live in Abu Dhabi," and "is your package big enough." I know as a newbie with only the second hand experience of friends and family in Dubai, commenting could be just wrong...
BUT I ****** love the "do it the UAE way" response.

MH I have not read all the thread but got a short update last night, the school are placing your son in an illegal position as no child under the age of16 can work for monetary gain or to gain experience without the express permission of the MOL, so they cannot force that.
They are asking you to do something illegal - place this back in their hands and see what they say.

According to the UAE Labour Law employment of a juvenile (classed as under the age of 15) is prohibited without the written permission of their guardian and other items like medical reports to prove they are fit to work.
This school is being utterly ridiculous.
