Default US School shooting

Come on America - surely now is the time to start looking at your gun laws? Forget the 2nd amendment or whatever the hell you think gives you the right to bear arms, incidents like this override such rights, surely??

Destroying and terrorising other countries is their priority at the moment and has been for some time.

This is so tragic, and a primary school too. Latest is he killed his mother too and father missing. Sick.

You could also ask the same thing of the deranged man in Hungerford, Michael Ryan.

Too many questions, never ever enough rational - or otherwise - answers.

The killing of his mum adds a mystery element though............

Do we know what the weapon was? I doubt if it was a small personal firearm jobby............. assault rifle?

OK........... and here are the weapons (as per the Sky News website):

Three guns found - a Glock, a Sig Sauer and a .223-calibre rifle

I really can't undertand how many more massacres there will have to be for the US to wake up. Personally if I was Obama, I'd bring in stricter laws TODAY. F**k the gun lobby, they are just a bunch right-wing militia nut jobs ("From my cold, dead hands" - indeed!) who would never vote for a Democrat in the White House and even less likely to vote for a black president. As this is Obama's last term, I would introduce the legislation anyway and be done with.

I can't help but think of Marcus Brigstock's quote:

"The right to bear arms is almost as ridiculous as the right to arm bears"

Interesting poster as Switzerland is number 4 in the world in terms of gun ownership per head of population. Maybe they just have less batshit crazy people.

I know that this will be a hot topic in the next few days, but can't we just have a time of remembrance for the innocents who lost their lives today?

Do we really want to dive right into the gun control argument (oh and what a big argument it will be) without taking time to hold our loved ones close for a few days?
