You're missing a bit point here. I had a glass of wine with my dinner last night, because I like it. I enjoyed it. It was a nice thing to share along with dinner with my mrs.

Health aspects can be debated, what BE76 says is correct that some small amounts can be a good thing, what you say is correct that bigger quantities can be a bad thing.

Tobacco products in general, which includes shisha the equivalent to smoking 50-100 cigarettes depending on how long a session you have. Yet there is no proscription in the koran on smoking shisha hhhmmmm.

Needless to say that I agree with your Point. I may also add that the food intake regulations in Islam serve many purposes. The social and the physical health issue are just some of the reasons, there are also other reasons we are yet to discover. Science has already established a link between drinking abusive substances and our physical sense of judgment, that’s why pilots are not allowed to drink any alcohol within the 8 hours before their flights. Science are yet to establish a biological link between what we eat and our sense of moral judgments.

Like completely going against mother nature during Ramadan, no water when it is 50 degrees outside, not eating during the day then binging when it gets dark.
