The Beard Man Issue...

Even if you live in a supposedly free place like the UK, this much vaunted Freedom of Speech is not absolute. There are rightly limits. You can't get away with shouting FIRE in a crowded theatre for no reason, or ringing up and saying there's a bomb planted for no reason, and you certainly can't incite hatred and violence and spread blatant lies about things like the holocaust.
And it always seems to be the last resort of the desperate when defending the indefensible.

I can't see how his holocaust post was enticing religious or racial hatred. There is an element of double standards amongst some posters here, if the questions he asked was enticing religious and racial hatred, then what does that say about the always negative posts about sharia, or this place, this country, this region, those people etc. Bottom line, we believe the holocaust occurred, as do most people including Ahmadinijad, because that is what we have learnt and we are shown evidence through testimonies and video footage, but then again we all say it was 6m solely because this is what we have been told, we never question the exact number we just take it as fact and when asked that is number we will give, in effect just following the masses. Same applies to Beardy (RIP) with regards to some of his thoughts, these are things he has grown up being told and he is also just following his environment.

To ban him makes us less tolerant.
He has an abrasive style of posting -more cultural than intentional I think.
Let him remain,if he is excluded then he may well be left to the rantings of 'University Professors' akin to that disgrace in Al Ain. Herein, maybe someone will post something that wil make him stop and think and become less opinionated, even more receptive to other peoples' views.
Inshallah

I have now calmed down.
I think i may have acted in haste and think he should have had a warning.
That does not stop me despising him and his 'oh i'm only asking questions' demeanor. The man is a zealot, a racist and a misogynist who is on a mission to convert all.
I loathe him but think i feel stronger about freedom of speech. Can we just sinbin him?

But do you really think he'll behave any differntly if he returns? He only wants to talk about two thing; how great Islam is and why the West is wrong/bad.
I suggest that if he is 'unbanned' he'll be even worse, as he will feel vindicated. His comments and views are offensive to many and there are better places for him to post. It is all quite pointless him being on the board, as no matter how many times you try to expalin something he pays no attention and continues with his own misguided agenda.

beard man's comments are, at times, approaching the absurd (i.e. the holocaust denier bit) but his opinions appear to be a representative slice of a section of the community in the mid-east. so, in the spirit of freedom of speech, let him back.
besides, he's far more entertaining that the likes of dbxdude and mantronic

Well according to NorthernLad he broke rule #2. Having checked I agree.
It is not necessarily about having different opinions, as some issues are too serious to be questioned or taken lightly. You may think that wrestling is the greatest sport ever, but my opinion is that it is a load of rubbish. That is entirely different to having views that designed to convert, offend or alienate people and worse when they are based on lack of understanding/knowledge that the poster makes no effort to correct/understand.

You want to ban this person for what reason? Stating his opinions? I have seen some of the most anti-arab, anti-muslim comments on here. What kind of expatriate community is this? Perhaps its this website and its commentators, whom are constantly advocating the state of Israel, bashing the Sharia laws/regulations and passing little demeaning insults here and there that should be BANNED.

Oh the irony in your name.
Having checked your previous posts it seem you have one reason for being here and that is simply to post pro-Arab & anti-Israeli comments.
