Me thinks I have touched a raw nerve and an element of truth.... Sorry not to be one of your minions. I'm off to enjoy a beer in my materialistic spa! Excuse me if I don't lower myself to your level of personal abuse...you know what they say about sticks and stones - you will notice my spelling has improved now that my anger has subsided - night night all.... God save the Queen and Australia rules!

You'd like to think you have, but you couldn't be further from the truth. Pray tell, where have I 'abused' you.

Your approach to fishing comprises all the subtlety of runaway lorry crashing into an orphanage. I can see why you feel so at home.

I dont know what is more of a worry, the thought of you sitting talking to me naked, or you sitting ANYWHERE in your house naked with teenage girls about

Trust me...there all safe - and I'm complete in swimmers and snorkel... just waiting for the wife to get changed. The snorkels for pouring the beer down my gullet.

I'm not going to take sides with or against either nation. It is what it is. It'll either work for you or it won't. I wish you well. But generally people need to accept that it'll work or it won't. We can all make excuses. Miss family, friends etc. No mental preparation prepares you for that. But some people need to ask themself the question is it results or excuses that will prevail
Well, going against the grain here, but I can see where you are coming from. Things about Aus really get on my tits and I do get super homesick at times but then I've also had some bloody good times here. I hate people slagging off UK too, but I am realistic about the place and its problems - ditto Australia.

Hilarious! The fact there are radical muslims in the UK is enough to keep you away?? Ever heard of staying to fight your corner? I think you'll find that your beloved France has 6 million muslims, the UK has 1.5m (and I don't believe they are all bad either)... I think the UK is making the best out of a tricky situation. Islamic extremism exists in most western countries, even Sweden!!

Mate, you have got to stop reading some of these papers. Also, since you haven't been in the UK for six years, who are you to comment on current UK affairs? I believe that far from "going to the dogs" like the Mail puts it, the UK is richer, more equalitarian, more competitive, safer, and more dynamic than it has been for a long time. Your negative attitude is very tiring... rather like a spoilt child

This is a pretty good indicator of how ridiculous that statement is, the Uk's murder rate is Tiny, even lower than Canada and Australia
And the USA where I live. I don't feel at all scared living in this country as I chose to live in an area that really doesn't get affected by much crime. The same will go for when I move back to the UK.
