It's more like 20%. One longer programs, like movies, they start off with
a few commercials, then run the show almost uninterrupted for a while (to
get you hooked?) but as you get closer to the end of the move the
commercial breaks become so frequent that you end up watching more
commercials than programming.
Since remote controls became standard, viewers have a tendency to channel
surf as soon as the ads come on. The broadcasters are on to this one, so
they tend to run their ads at the same time.

So perhaps the wonderful American values of rugged individualism didn't

Not in a broom cupboard with 5 servers, a leaky microwave and a Mixi.

Have you seen Little Britain yet. Especially if you like AbFab (well,
the first three series and Wedding 'special'- the subsequent series were
flat IMO) I think you'll like LB. I love it, but it's not a sitcom- more
of a sketch show. Two series so far, and the next one in production for
next year.

Anyone with the current edition of Viz, check the Mr. Logic cartoon. It
_so_ reminds me of Mixi arguing about keeping cool in 44 C, for some
reason....

Well, not my type but yes, she's certainly a Tory I like, and with many
of them, one I've liked more the further they've gotten from being _in_
politics. I feel similarly about Portillo, who has just recently become
an ex-MP too.
