Taste even better than the Chinook salmon

Love to fish that river it is one of the best brown and sea run browns in NZ

Our problem here are the (aggressive) whitebaiters....

I had home made lasagne from the freezer and salad with Caesar dressing - yay for yummy, yummy lovely salad on the menu again!!

I have never been one to go potty over salad but it's a long old boring winter without it and I really needed to see something cold and crisp and lively on the dinner plate.

It's 19:30 in the evening and still 17C here so it's going to be the BBQ chicken option with portobello mushrooms rice and lovely crispy salad maybe washed down with something that kids shouldn't drink.....

Proper full-on roast dinner. That means no mash, kumera or flippin' 'orrible silverbeet , which even the hens won't touch.

Bottle of plonkerelly and Dr Who on telly.
