I have a jar of Branston for the cold cuts.

Last evening. Fresh fish which my neighbour had caught.

Swappsies for a couple of my globe artichokes and 6 of my hens eggs.

Oh dear. I have eaten so much shite this Christmas! Had our first full Christmas lunch in 5 years this year though We have always done BBQs since here, but this time it was a very quiet one with our first Christmas here with no family/friends over and I didn't want the kids to forget what a Christmas lunch were

Just wish this weather would pick up now and summer finally arrive so that I can get some use out of these bags of summer clothes and bikinis I have purchased

What's for dinner?

A couple of small venison shanks we were given. Done in the slow cooker for several hours, with assorted herbs, tom paste etc.
Peas and carrots from the garden & some new agria potatoes.

Afters. I made a ring cake thing yesterday with raspberries & will whip some left over cream.

I used the cream a couple of nights ago for a fish & corn chowder.

Easy, it's Friday fish n chips night, Fed up fast foods, paraparaumu beach. The best around. They don't do mushy peas though! Even the dog looks forward to it, getting her very own piece of fish!

We had fast food today, leftover roast chicken and stuffing sandwiches, with mayo and lettuce, with a side of pickled onions and lashings of beetroot.
