Oh how I miss M&S ready meals sometimes & today is one of those days. OH & me feeling jolly down & feel too tired to cook. M&S would've had something yummy in for Valentine's Day that I wouldn't have to think about.

Off to the kitchen I go to do something with salmon, new potatoes, carrots & sugar-snap peas

Don't be daft. Them be Scottish kippers. Frozen & packaged in those wee bags wot you boil in a pot. Put em with mash & peas. Fast Food ! Yum.

If we want hot smoked salmon we go to Anatoki. If I want other smoked fish for a salad or something I'll go the Smokehouse in Mapua.

But if I want a lovely kipper for tea or breakfast ,I'll take what I can get and that's the Scottish frozen jobbies.

I can miss those ready meals too, for those days when cooking from scratch is a blummin' drag & you don't want to spend on a takeaway or meal out. Nothing wrong with the ready meals in moderation.

I can dream.

Tonight. Chowder, garlic bread and a salad on the side for greens. Yup I do make the chowder.
Afters for Mr BEVS. An apricot pudd thing.

I thought he was going training. He thought we could go up the Moutere for something to eat. I've elected to save that for maybe the weekend.

Yum ! Lucky you getting to go to Angora. I love that restaurant, the food is great.

Had a good valentines day. I cooked a special dinner at home served with sparkling wine. My husband got me some red roses.

Nice Chilli con carne with basmati rice and salsa corn chips and after years of using pork mince because of UK's poor cattle management feed record I can use beef again.........safely................with extra chilli....

Nice one stormer !

Roast beef and yorkshire pudding. Served with a selection of vegetables, gravy made by my husband. Boysenberry cheesecake for dessert served with coffee. Leftover beef will re-appear another day as chunky chilli con carne.
