Tracey try not to let people like this wind you up. It's people like this who keep me out of the Oz forum :( I know it's difficult but only those who are or have been in your situation can possibly understand the turmoil that you go through every day. People who are happy with their lot in life, often have no understanding or compassion for others who are not in that situation. They can't comprehend the feelings that you go through, the heartache and the daily frustation at living in a place you hate.

Your life is every bit as important and valuable as your husbands. We are in the 21st century last time I checked and wives are not husbands posessions any longer thank goodness. You've tried it in Oz, you don't like it so go home and enjoy the rest of your life. If hubby is all for trying it just go and take no notice of people who haven't a clue about you, your family or your life.

It does infuriate me when people judge others :curse:

You're so right Louise. I will keep out of the Oz forums in future. I don't want to give them anymore amunition.

Talk about kicking a person when they're down though! I hope I would never be so heartless and cruel.

I agree with you about me having as much right as my husband to be happy. According to her though, I should just stay put and shut up moaning rather than risk his feelings! That bodes well for a happy marriage!;)

Please don't stay away Tracey. Don't let her get to you. I know you're probably thinking that's easier said than done, but believe me, I've had my fair share of 'brainless oz loving idiots' have a go at me over the years, and to my face, just because I don't feel the same way they do. I just cannot figure out why people seem so outraged when someone voices their negative opinions of oz. Would they have been the same way in the UK I wonder? I remember once saying to a group of 'friends' how much I hated Ledge Point. I thought it was a dirty little place with sod all to do, so didn't want to spend a third w/e up there just sitting on the beach and boozing all day. Boy did I get it that night, from all sides. One even said that Rottnest Island was the most beautiful place they had ever seen! I could've choked to death right there and then. Rotto and beautiful don't go in the same sentence as far as I'm concerned. I realised then that our 'friends' of 3 years were so very different from us and the friendship wouldn't last after that w/e. It didn't.

I know it is hard but don't let other people bring you down. You have given me support in the past about my feelings of wanting to be home. You and your husband obviously care for one another and want to do what is best for each other. You tried a new way of life and it didn't work. Your husband supports you so why care if some stranger doesn't. Don't waste anymore time on it

Thanks for the words guys.

You know what I always remember ? Billy Conolly saying "Never judge a man 'til you've walked a mile in his shoes............but by that time, he's a mile away, and you have his shoes!"

Why do people feel the need to judge us lot because we don't love all things Australia and would prefer to live in our own home country? Jeez...

There's one thread in there where poor Jad is on a no hoper, she's holding her own though, as she always does. I just can't be ar**d to reply to such utter garbage to be honest, so I stay out of there as much as possible. Glad to hear you're staying in here. :)

I don't judge anyone. Home is where the heart is, wherever that may be. I just find it astonishing that a lot of the posters here blame all their woes on Australia and slate it with such a passion. Nobody cares who goes home just some posters feel they need to make Australia a scapegoat rather than being adult enough to admit you just prefer England.

I didn't say you Tracey. I don't find it bland and soulless so who is right - you or me?
