Oh a billion percent yes. Often in debt to a greater amount that they'll earn in several years.

I still have that feeling of transience about the place and am under no illusions that if we both lost our jobs or whatever, we would ride it out for a short period before cutting loose and going.

The last thing I need to be looking at is a circle-jerk of ****tards. That goes for several of the 'Brits in Dubai' type FB groups. Partly why I've zinged the app and never go on it anymore.

Whilst the vast, silent majority of BDD seems to be there for the info etc, there is a small but very vocal minority that, TBH, ruin it for most.

As far as the f***tards go, Ive read about guys who have so poor a package that they have 'decided' to home school their kids, whilst boasting about the brunches, golf rounds, cars etc that they enjoy. Other lads who now rent their personal cars out coz they are buried so deep that they cant sell and pay off the loan...

Christ, then there was the guy who they saved from committing suicide, brought on by stress etc of being here, having already sent his family home. Clearly an admirable thing to do, but the minority f***tards refused the common sense approach put forward from the less vocal majority of buying him a ticket home, and instead decided to extend his stress of keeping him in DXB, and parading him on talk shows etc.. Whilst talking about mental health is a great thing to be doing, the method by which they went about milking it for every marketing opportunity, in an attempt by the main admin to get some money out of the site made me sick...

Whilst other nationalities are probably equally as likely to hold on too long over here, they probably have the excuse that the other option means little change in relation to support etc. Not an excuse that someone returning to the UK can make.. Relatively good schools free, health care free etc...
