Re: NEOM Potential Job
3 months here too. Went through the interview uploaded all the docs, profil went "under offer" and just waiting now with the 2024 headcount which is what HR told me last month. Seems to be a common theme at the moment.

I’m beginning to understand the go with the flow/it is what it is sentiment on this forum - i suppose in western countries there is a degree of certainty and swiftness which heightens our expectations! Out of curiosity, how long did it take for you to go from upload documents to under offer?
Thanks and good luck!

Re: NEOM Potential Job
This is such a great site/thread, thanks everyone for the amazing contributions. I have a couple of questions
1. Bit confused as to whether headcount has/hasn’t been approved. There seems to be about 240 jobs live atm, is that high/low/average? When does activity generally pick-up, it feels a bit flat atm, but I am quite new to this. Anyone join in Q1 last year that can offer a bit of insight on activity/timelines?
2. When are the annual bonuses typically announced and paid. Given turnover is quite high I would have thought there would be a bit of movement around then too?

1) As of the beginning of last week, HC was still not approved for most roles. Uncertain on where the current number of posted jobs is on average, but these are all roles that were approved in 23 for hire in 24. They could be open or they could have candidates to fill them, but are awaiting offers. Once the headcount is approved, the postings will go up as fast as the recruiters can manage it. There are a lot of managers eager to staff up for the year. They just need their budgets approved.
2) The bonus process has begun. All EOY evaluations are with HR for review. Typically the bonus level is announced in early Feb and then paid in Feb or March. Can't tell you whether that will affect postings. If it does, then I'd imagine those positions would start going online in q2.
Hope that helps.

Technically, yes. But in practice very unlikely. By law an iqama must be issued within 90 days of arrival. IME employers often use this period to see what an employee is like. However, like another poster said, if it's not sorted fairly soon this should raise a flag as to how much the company values you, and an indicator of how things will be with HR in the future.
For the dependent iqama, it's always been quick IME, there's no reason for any delay. It's a very straightforward process paperwork wise. Dependent monthly fees must be paid in advance, medical at government clinic etc I, but apart from that..... The only reason for any delay is lazy HR, which again should raise a flag as to the employee's perceived value, or incompetent HR, which would also be an indicator of the future.
So technically yes, 90 days for the employee, and 90 days for the dependent is 6 months. But very unlikely in practice.

Re: NEOM Potential Job
Hi All,
I have moved to the next stage in a finance role and it is a 2hr assessment (90mins offline and then 30min presentation) Curious to know if anyone has been through that process and is happy to share a bit about their experience? Thanks

I remember you were waiting back in 2022, is this for the same role or did you end up applying for another role?
