Anymore info on this? Even if it doesnt sell booze seems like a cool place to chill for the afternoon.

Well, I've been at the Intercon every day this week with the wife and kids and I can assure you that beer and food are beng served at the outdoor restaurant overlooking the pool, all day. No mistaking the sight of a tall glass of lager with a nice full head, especially when you're baking in the mid-afternoon sun. Double checked with the Missus and kids, who all confirmed it was not a mirage.

I was surprised too, and this is no wind up.

QR180 on a Sunday, Monday and Thursday and QR350 at other times. Friday is Family (Racism) Day, so you won't get in as a single male unless you're Qatari or have white skin.

Great news, if it lasts until next weekend. We arrive on the 5 August and have an apartment at the Intercon for the first month on the ground.

So you are aware, the Intercon's car park is completely closed whilst major construction works take place. One end of the Serviced Apartment block is right next door, so will be noisy outwith the 11am to 3pm curfew.

I am amazed if this is the case. Are you positive it wasn't non-alcoholic beer?
