Hello,
I'm moving to the UAE later this year to work for Mubadala. Salary is 63K GBP. Out of that I have to take care of my own expenses for a family of four. Medical and dental is provided along with 22 days vacation; and supposedly there is an annual bonus ok 8K GBP. So I've browsed the site in an effort to determine the best places to live, I've already determined that Abu Dhabi is too expensive, hence, the decision to commute from Dubai. I'm budgeting for no more than 110K AED on a 3 bedroom. Besides Al Jumeirah and Umm Sequm, what other places would you suggest, and is 110K being too cheap? Thanks for your advice.

£63,000 a year ? and thats not enough for you? damn we earn min wage here in the UK, get about £10,000 a year, and we still survive with 2 kids. we eat 1 day, and fast the next day. food rations.

I have had, and am still having, a fab life and I am enjoying every minute of it. I have friends who have been saving since they were young for their "retirement".. most of them have been shafted by their pension plans and have very little to show for it.I have no dependents, no family (ie children), doing what I do, I can work and earn as long as I can keep this old body upright or poke people with a stick!!
Once I don't have a certain 'quality of life' healthwise then I will check myself out..until then , let's have a glass of bubbly darling xxx

I have to say darling, I have hardly ever saved for my old age.. I have had, and am still having, a fab life and I am enjoying every minute of it.
