thank you for the information. My application changed straight from application received to in process since jan/12 and no contact from ADNOC HR or interviews scheduled. I wonder why? Appreciate the input?

Hi everyone,

For those whose status "Ready for On board", how long does take to issue Visa Approval (not visa though)?

HR asked me not to resign yet, I assume obtaining visa approval is the last hurdle.

Cheers

Searching the internet, it shows 2-5 days to issue visa approval..I've been waiting for 10 days now..
I'm wondering if there is a chance to be rejected..any thoughts?

Have HR informed you that your security approvals are complete and asked you for an official start date? If so, they will only apply for your work visa around 2-3 weeks before your start date.

You can check here if your work visa has been issued just by entering your passport info:

Hello Zico10 . In my case I was initially told that HR would apply for my visa in December, but when I gave them a desired start date of end-of-January they decide to wait until after New Year's Day to submit the visa application. My visa application was submitted on January 3rd and was approved within two days. Once they actually submit for the visa application it really should be approved quickly, as in within a week.

Hello SouthTXEngineer00,
Thanks to you and psychopomp1 and many other active contributors to this forum, I've learned lots.

Just a quick one: Which engineering background do you have? You said you'll be joining ADNOC Onshore in the production chemistry team: are you from the production chemicals business? Please feel free to DM me if you would prefer that option.
I'm Canadian in the upstream chemicals business and just beginning to explore some of the opportunities in the Middle East. It's still early days for me as my online application just got moved to "In Process" today, so I'm waiting on that interview invite.

Thanks.

Hello DocDerChemie !

My background is in Chemical Engineering. I spend about 12.5 years with ExxonMobil in their Upstream Research Company in Houston. But I was seconded from XOM to ADNOC-Offshore from 2016-2020, so I had been in Abu Dhabi before and made a lot of contacts during that time. I was trained by XOM in Subsurface Engineering with expertise in inorganic scale management. I had also worked on a smattering of other subsurface technologies including sand control, downhole surveillance, and acid stimulation.

The production chemistry specialists in ADNOC Onshore knew me very well from SPE conferences going back to before my stint with Offshore. When they had a position come open one year ago they reached out to me about it on LinkedIn.

Hi!

I went for a medical assessment for pre-employment. They found out through the government records that I have a mental health issue (initially which I hadn't disclosed). They asked for a better explanation and a fitness report for the issue. I had given the fitness report, but they disqualified me after some days and the application for employment was withdrawn.

Is this decision final or irrevocable? OR is there a way to appeal to ADNOC HQ for this matter?
