Some of the people you went to high school with have kids going into college or about to graduate high school makes you feel old.....
Nah, not really, but with facebook holy man did a lot of people in my life have kids young, and hard to believe some like my sister have kids who are now adults.
How time flies, and as I always joke, my sisters might be grand parents before we ever have a kid.....
Sorry for the posts today, bored, and wife is in Squamish with the car, so I haven't had much to keep me entertained....

Wait until you get to 60 and realise that your friends are grandparents, and even more scary, great grandparents.

I would have rather skipped the first marriage at 25, but then I would have not met my current wife, so it was an essential step in the thing called fate, so good did come out of it.
Funny thing is, well maybe not funny, but there are very specific events that happened in my life that if they had not happened, would have not led me to the person I was very clearly meant to be with.
Not sure we will ever have kids though, neither of us have any great desire to create mini-humans.
We watched my wifes sisters kids for a couple of hours once, and boy they wore us out... (5 &7).
But as the saying from something goes, can't say never at this stage in life, now eventually we can say never, but not quite there yet.

Slightly off topic, but on the news the other night they reported that the Bristol group Massive Atrack was reforming for a new album/tour. They also mentioned that it has been 25 years (!!!) since their big hit Unfinished Symphony.

At age 53 I have three of my own grandchildren and am step-grandmother to 5 (and 1/3) more. Let me tell you that in all honesty this grandparent thing is way more fun than the parent thing was.

as many have posted, they are Grandparents, even great grandparents before they reach 65
Its quite common, or so it used to be over the pond that a girl would have her first baby at 16, that child having her first child at ~18, in turn the child of the child having one at 17, the child of a child of a child having her one at 16
If the maths are right on this one....
Adding up
Mother 16 (first baby)
Mothers child 18 (grandparent)
Mothers, mothers child 17 (great grandparent)
Mothers, mothers, mothers, mothers (is now a great, great grandparent) 16
The First mother is now a great great grandmother & she is only 67. Will she still be alive to see her great, great, great grandchild?
