Gin soaked trollops are always in a corner of my mind. The YAL actually wrote a thesis on them, "Aspects of Prostitution in Victorian London". What aspects I dare not ask.

Hmm, so was her interest in you initially sparked by an interest in Victorian Englishmen, then she realised that you aren't quite that old??

I love Walmart - when you're having a bad day at work / angry with the oh or whatever, you can go there - buy a cart full of stuff (they actually do some cool cheap clothes which you can just chuck away at the end of the season) fir $100 and not feel guilty cos you spent a fortune.
We don't have a Zellers etc in Drum so Walmart is the "I'm pissed off lets go shopping" store - we won't end up broke!

In my town we have Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, Zellers and Superstore as far as the big box stores go.
They all sell the same brands for the most part, made by the same companies with most of their non-food products being made in China.
Only difference I see between then really is that Wal-Mart tends to have lower prices.
They all pay the same wage, and yes I know Loblaws in union but unless you want to be a career cashier the wage there to start is really no better. They all start under 9/hr.

I've heard that Costco pay $11/hr to start rising to $18. No Frills is supposed to pay well too.

Things I know about Walmart:-
1.. Zeller's price match any product found cheaper in Walmart
2.. Locals spend all day Saturday in a line at the Customer Service desk, knowing that they can return their used purchases for the same cash they paid for them (e.g. seasonal purchases, cookware, DVDs, underpants)
3.. Mis-tinted paint is half-price
4.. The self serve checkouts are bag of *****. The only purpose they serve is to make you stare at gum and magazine covers depicting people with white teeth. The only training given to assistants is "if screen has message requesting assistant or makes beeping noises , place 'lane closed' sign on scanner".
5.. The correct spelling of Walmart is Wal*mart. The correct pronunciation is "Wal-star-mart".
6. They also didn't have COD5, so that's why I spent the last 30 mins reading this ******* thread.

Timmies was good and then went back for seconds with the OH for toy and stuff shop
Just saved loads of money, i could of gone to toysrus, but walmart was cheaper...............when all said and done
"as a parent i will shop where i want to"
If the likes of some don't like it - tough
Also for people looking for jobs in walmart they do a better HOUR rate than alot of companys, depends on the level that you discuss in interview....plus your benenfits are good.
No i didnt end up working for them, but when i'm ready to go back to work i'd rather be there than some stores locally

Mandi you are so right, clothes are so cheap...good old walmart...let them build more
