Not quite. The same would be true for Spurs if (when) they finish 4th.

I agree.

I think Hodgson is a good appointment. He has had previous tournament experience with Switzerland and he is a better tactician than Redknapp. Most of his managerial appointments have been successful and if we are going to have an Englishman in charge then we probably have the right one.

It's a shame I thought Pep Gaurdiola was going to be the next Spurs boss briefly.

We're not Chelsea. Wash your brain out.

I read that in 40 years of management Rednapp has won the FA cup once and the old third division with Bournmouth. Obviously he has family connections in the football industry which must have helped his career over the years. He is fairly entertaining as a sort of pantomime character but as England manager I think he'd be a disaster.

The real black mark against Hodgson is failure at Liverpool but generally he has improved teams he's managed. I noticed an interesting statistic on his time as Finland manager - the win % was fairly average but all the wins came in qualifying matches and all the defeats in friendlies.

Oh I forgot, it is EPL, anything resembling a tackle will result in 5 mins of rolling around in panto comedy! 18 tackles and the game would be over.

Let us see what happens on Wednesday.

I don't think he was given a fair chance at Liverpool.

Either way England will ultimately be another black mark in his career like all those before him.

Oh, well. I don't suppose City are going to be uninterested at the Toon after all.

Pity that, but maybe worth it to see ManUre f*** up.

United should be made to leave Manchester and move to Kuala Lumpar now.

It matters not, it's a non-job. Any England manager will get the team to a championship (possibly limping), then exiting in the QF (possibly on pens). Harry would achieve that, Mourinho would achieve that. It matters not.
