I'm not convinced we have the players to get to Quarter Finals now.

Hodgson got national teams such as Switzerland and Finland to punch above their weight.

If he can do that with England then we may get out of the group of a major tournament.

We will have our work cut out this summer. They open with France and that will be a tough game for a team who only managed one win at the World Cup against Slovenia. Please don't get me started on the Algeria game............or the US of A.

Would you now like to retract that remark? It was Chelsea, in their typically nasty minded anti-football style, who were out breaking things.

0-2 though. They couldn't break Cisse.

Forced to watch the Bolton Spurs match, i'll take your word for it, at least you have something to play for against Man City now. Should be a good weekend. Who do you have to win EPL?

I guess it depends on which Manchester club he despises the most
Obviously he doesnt want Chelski to win the Champions League in case Newcastle finish 4th thereby stopping them from playing in the CL.
Obviously he would prefer the Toon to qualify for the CL but that means they would have to beat Citeh on Sunday and that would give Utd a chance to win their 20th title. A draw doesnt hurt the Toon against Citeh but again helps Utd.
A loss to Citeh probably hands them the EPL.
I think he needs to down a few Newcastle Brown Ales before he makes a decision come Sunday.

I don't much care who wins the Prem., but I'd think City. I doubt we can even take a point off them now that Mikel has crocked Tiote and Ivanovic has crocked Ba.

BTW I predict that Mikel will get a retrospective ban from the FA, hopefully before the Cup final. Bastard.

So was the first. 13 goals in 12 games must be some sort of record?

Alan Pardew, "He {Chiote} has about a nine inch gash and about 400 stitches. It's just a scratch to him. He'll be fine for Sunday".

Hmmm. Maybe we'll get a draw.

Pint or a bottle of wine (a Fergies Red choice) in it for you if you pull of a win

I understand (or hope) that you're a true blue Chelsea supporter, as I am a life long Toon supporter, but your lot were beaten, despite despicable violence, by a team that simply outclassed you on the day.

Just as we were last week against Wigan. Funny old game.

Nonetheless, I hope that next year Chelsea get relegated, or even better go bankrupt. Sorry.

Delighted to see this result and the Bolton result for Spurs. Now just clinging on to 4th spot ...
