I agree. Also agree with Jimmydean that Semis is the best they can hope for anyway.
I watch England but couldn't give a naffing toss about them really.

NUFC is a great training ground for England managers. What's King Kev up to these days?

I care about England. But you are a fool to take the England job.

The reality is England doesn't produce players who are good enough mentally or technically to win major tournaments and the gap between ourselves and other nations has widened in the last decade.

Redknapp won't take the job immediately because he has no time to work with the players. Euro 2012 will be an embarrassing white wash and he'll be unemployed come August.

In all likelihood I expect a caretaker in place till August and then the next Manager to be in place.

Despite being a fool the next manager will earn £10 million over two years and should they have some luck they might stretch it out to £20 million over four years. A nice pay off for a shoddy wicket.

Based purely on Football Redknapp gets to work with Van Der Vaart, Modric and Bale- all players who would easily stroll into the England team. He also has the potential to immortalise himself at Tottenham- even if it is just winning an FA Cup let alone the league.

The only motivation for him to do the England job is money. You can be the best Manager in the world as Eriksson and Capello's records pretty much suggested before they took the job- but the media will always win out in the end.

Didn't he do that once already? I forget. How about Kenny Dalgleish, he'll need a job soon.

Largely because of the EPL and its TV contracts enabling some teams to overpay players from elsewhere ridiculous amounts.

Now of course Toon have been just as guilty as most and even now, let's see...

GK: Dutch
Defenders: English, Argentinan, English, Italian.
Typical midfield: French, Ivorian, French, Argentinan
Strikers, Senegalese, Senegalese, with a choice of French, Danish or Nigerian backups.

The only Geordie on the side is S. Taylor who is crocked. As is England.

I've ruled myself out of the England job, just like Pardew who wasn't even asked.

I've only just ruled myself out of playing for the national team. It would be wrong to bring the curtain down on my managerial career so soon.

Ah yes of course. The resignation at half time in the toilets wasn't it? Where was Terry McDermott when his powers of persuasion were needed.

There's always the dual manager option - Kings Kenny and Kev together.

Becks player manager - has he ruled himself out yet?

No doubt Rednapp would have every chance of being as unsucessful as the rest of them.

If harry does become the new england manager we will have gone from a bloke who can't speak english to one that can't write it.

Tomorrow we'll see how great a job he's doing. Who'd have thought back in August that in mid Feb the match at WHL would be between the 3rd and 5th sides in the table?

May the best team win (so long as they're wearing the Toon away strip).

No punches pulled by Fergie at today's early kick off.......

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson on Luis Suarez's decision not to shake Patrice Evra's hand before kick-off, and Evra's celebrations at full-time following United's win: "I couldn't believe Suarez refused Evra's handshake. Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool football club. He should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again, the history of that club. He could have caused a riot. Racism is an important issue and football has come a long way since the days of bananas being thrown at John Barnes

In contrast Red Kenny borrowed Wenger's glasses for the game and didn't see it, he wasn't there and has no idea what the fuss is about and Luis Suarez is to blame for nothing.....

A slight setback today then. Onwards and <ahem> sideways.
