Part time supporters

All credit to Spurs though probably the least hated club by Northerners.
Will Arry be able to keep hold of his squad though?
Bale valuation of 60 million is a bit rich though still a better value than Carroll at 35 mill.
Will Modric stay or go?
Interesting times ahead of the Yids.

We play Manchester City (away), Liverpool (away), Arsenal (away)and Manchester United (Home)in our next six league games.

The other two games within the 6 are Wigan and Newcastle.

If we are still within 3 points of the top after that then anything is possible- we would certainly have the easiest run in.

No one will leave because they will requalify for the Champions League.

It's just a question now of getting work on the new ground going as that will really be what determines the long term future.

I agree, why would a player want to leave one of the top three for a lesser team? And the sooner we start on our new ground the better.

If that's in order then the first in the list is the lynchpin. Win and you're point level with Citeh, lose and your six points out again without that game in hand.

Draw sounds like a good idea to me.

Bon chance.

BTW, we've got QPR at home then Fulham and Blackburn away for the rest of Jan. Not (I hope) particularly daunting even without Ba ad Chiote. Yes, I still have a spark of hope left (for the CL not the top).

1-0. Toon are back to sixth. Now if your Swans can just beat Arsenal 4-0 we'll be fifth.

Bon chance!

Isnt own goal now their leading goal scorer seeing as Demba Ba is at the ANC?
Not exactly a convincing win but 3 points is 3 points.

Not quite. After today Best has 4, some distance behind Ba on 15, but edging O'Goal who has three. :)

There you go. Well done the Swans, "the New Arsenal" according to the grauniad.

Excellent news today. It seems that Toon have signed Demba Ba's Senegalese international strike mate from Freiburg for a reported 10M euro.

Papiss Demba Cisse scored 22 goals last season in the Bundesliga and has notched 9 in the first 15 games this season. He's 26 and has a real goal scorer's first touch.

I'm rather happy.

<Of course knowing our luck, they'll both get crocked in the ANC>

Looks like a decent enough player. His English is about as good as my Senegalese though.

Does this clear the way for Ba to go?

I'm backing the Toon to finish above Liverpool!

The Cockerel will stem the Blue Moon rising this weekend.

Given his background, I should think his French (& German) are passable though. Pardew's taking lessons.
