Personally I dont give a toss if hes guilty or not. The alleged $295,000 is probably going to be eaten up by his lawyers.
Im guessing the Crown have a fairly decent amount of evidence to lay the charges in the first place never mind going to trial with it. As we all know innocent until proven guilty but Im guessing only the Spurs faithful think hes innocent much like the Liverpool fans with the Suarez incident. Maybe Arry took too many lessons off Arthur Daley. All of these millionaires have dodgey off shore accounts and I suspect the fact that Redknapp earns a few million quid a year means he will be able to pay his way out of the situation if he is guilty. Especially as we know the England job is around £5 million per year. I actually expect Spurs to hire the Special One should Redknapp leave. He will be the last piece of the title winning jigsaw puzzle. |

I think its the default response of those who're charged with saving Canada from the hordes of terrorists or sausage-roll smugglers to anyone that looks suspicious.

Well Arry certainly doesnt fit the look of a terrorist but definitely looks like hes had one too many sausage rolls or that he might stuff them somewhere to avoid detection

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
Nice one Arry
But Mr Redknapp told police it was not a loan, the jury heard. He also told officers that he did not tell his accountant about the account because he thought there was no money in it. On the second day of the trial, the jury heard Mr Redknapp kept his Monaco account a secret from his accountant for four-and-a-half years and from his bank relations manager for five years and eight months. Well of course he kept it secret as there was allegedly no money in it  |
Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
Anyone know what 'Arry's defence is in this case? I must admit, on the face of it, it seems he's been caught bang to rights. He's denying the charges though so he must have a defence case to plead, or it wouldn't have come to court?

It'll just be a fine though (prolly). |
Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
I need 'Arry to stay out of jail long enough so that he can source some mates from old east end of London to get around Balotelli's house and skin that ****er from head to toe. Oh, and if we can just secure 3rd too that would be nice.
Then, he can go to jail - I guess. |

Harry Redknapp said he was "sick and tired" of bung slurs and claimed he was victimised because of his Cockney accent, a court has been told. I do tend to agree with him If I had a cockney accent Id feel victimised  |
Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
I wonder if this will be on sale at Sid James Park (Sports Direct Arena) or will the Toon fans only wear it on away days or that Euro trip to Swansea

Meanwhile, back on topic, good news for Newcastle... Senegal are out of the African Cup. We should have Ba and Cisse back before the next Premiership match. :)

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
Well a return to the EPL for both of them is more exciting than a trip to Brighton
Rumour has it that Toronto FC are considering a bid for Andy Carroll as Canadians have a track record for buying subs that dont work and paying over the odds for them from British sources. |
