Agreed. But the difference was that Nolan and Barton were back. not that the fat cockney bastard betrays a hint of sanity.

If the team doesn't implode under Pardew (and today suggests it won't), then once they get Collocini (or even Williamson) back and can bench Campbell, I think they'll be OK.

I expect Chris Hughton will get the job at Anfield.

Another one gone........

He would have been a way down my list of at risk managers but maybe the new owners are expecting a champions league challenge?

Is there any other United that is of any consequence to the world of football?

If they can be top with Rooney playing like a twonk then the rest of you are doomed.

Big Sam to manage Liverpool then I expect, assuming he's in no hurry to work at West Ham.

Hodgson can't last much longer - I wonder if he could have a second stint at Blackburn then

Is Collocini really that good...when I've seen Newcastle on TV he didn't look that impressive....who was the guy who got a red card about 2 weeks ago for the blatent elbow to the neck of the opponent (running down the right wing of the attacking team)...now that guy was a thug. The ref had to consult with the linesman for confirmation.

I had thought Collocini was okay but I remember the incident you've described where he got sent off. I can't remember who they were playing but it was certainly within the last month. He had been passed easily and caught out of position a few times before loosing it completely and elbowing someone in the face.
