I watched the match too. How much do you think Inter might offer for Gareth Bale in January after those two games?

Great game eh?

Phenomenal result for Spurs with good performances up and down the pitch.

They look good for round 2 which will please the board financially.

We need, however, to improve our consistency in the league or we will not finish in the top 4 next year. If we can finish in the top 4 next year I can see players like Bale sticking around a while with work commencing on the new stadium.

Not sure if Inter could afford Bale. The only clubs I can see buying him are Madrid or Man City as he will be the first £60 million British player. Spurs aren't a selling club and have always made other clubs pay through the nose when it comes to talent leaving. With a contract till 2014 I can't see a departure till 2012 if he really wanted to go.

A well-deserved win, from an Arsenal supporter.

Definititely. They need more mediocre players to make those currently in the team look at least half-decent.

It's been a good weekend, the frightmare that was a fortnight ago is but a distant (if uncomfortable) memory.

I now bask in the the post match warmth after we have totally outclassed the league leaders and added another 3 points to the relegation avoidance total.

Henderson looks like a very promising player. Hopefully the England call up doesnt spoil it. The debacle at St James seems to have brought a positive reaction out of them all

Turning point - they got lucky at Spurs with that Zenden non-pen. Webby specialises in them.

Before that Brucie had ten losses ont trot in the capital.
