No...the new contract for a mere £180k a week compared with the quoted £250k a week at Man City. :D

Anyone else getting fed up with what's happening to Saturday's TV footie games?

It seems that every other week there's no early kick off and instead of a lunchtime game followed by a choice of two "3.00" games and then the tea-time game we get a choice of three 3.00 games and the tea-time game.

What's the point of three games at the same time? I can't watch them all.

Does anyone know why there's no lunch time game every other week?

I realise the loss of the early game may not bother everyone, what with it starting so early for so many here. But I really enjoy settling down for a game at 8.45 with a bacon sarnie.

Is it to do with policing or teams involved in Europe requiring more recovery time & refusing early kick-offs? Sometimes there are other interferences for Sky like the rugby or Ryder Cup which may affect scheduling.

I agree with you though, miss the early kick-offs - 8.45pm here mind.

No Euro games this week and there's no early game this Saturday.:frown:

I can see how you'd miss the 'early' game then, what with it being early enough in the evening. Must be irritating to lose that and have one going on until past 3.00 am.

Indeed, so ususally have choice of two matches live at 11pm our time (ideal) and unless the later game kicking off 1.30am ish is a must-see I end up recording it and watching Sunday morn while choking over my cornflakes.

Coming up here live on SkyPerfecTV:

Sat: choice of B'burn vs Chavs or Arses vs W Ham then MU vs Spurs later game
Sun: NE derby & Liverpool's game at Bolton.

Not too bad. Beggars can't be choosers. Back in the day Jp tv would just show highlights of the first half of a game two months old and announce at the end of the prog 'Come back next week for the second half' :)

Yer a furrinner mate. There's no chavs on Tyneside. Only charvas.
