There's an establishment on the main road to the Ambassador Bridge here that proclaims to be "Windsor's best VIP room"... one can only imagine what goes on in there.... There's helpfully a walk in clinic just across the road...

Filmore's is arguably Toronto's most notorious strip joint, "no colours" it says at the door which reminds me that, in the UK, there are no Crips and no Bloods and not much in the way of Hell's Angels so that's one law and order issue that's worse here. (My strip joint experience is limited - I've only been in Filmore's, Jilly's, the Zanzibar and the Tropicana. The latter is gone now but had male strippers). My kids went to high school a couple of blocks away from Filmores. One of their contemporaries tried to get a job there (inspired by or inspiring the DeGrassi episode, I guess) but was refused for being underage. Since she couldn't be a stripper she went straight to hooking, probably not what the law intended.

Thing is, I've paid to see comedians here and they're not half as funny as your humour :)

I shall be sure to tell that one tonight at the New Years do :)

My ex still lives on that street. I bet they don't remember me as "that generous guy who funds the mansion" but "the mad turd thrower".

All alcohol eagered accepted.

It really is laughable, I mean "You couldn't make it up if you tried"

Er and what part of noise induced hearing loss is laughable? What about those who can't move away from the noise, toddlers, babies. Think it through, if a noise is loud enough to irritate the ears its loud enough to damage them. That why older people can't hear the noise, there hearing is already damages.

Its assault, plain and simple.

Re: Tonight

The other thing about Canada which is funny, is that "persons" who are suspected of committing a crime, cannot be described as they actually are- e.g if a Somalian is wanted for a bag theft, he /she can only be described as 5ft 4inches tall, dark hair, wearing a white T shirt and jeans.......in other words you are not allowed to mention the ethnicity...it always makes me laugh cos how many people does that describe!!!

Re: Tonight

I started this thread originally for my own benefit, because I wanted something to come back to when I was feeling homesick to remind me of one of the reasons we wanted to make the move (note I said ONE of the reasons, not the only reason).

However at some 280 topics later this has now moved so far off topic and has gone from the sublime to the ridiculous and back, that I will refrain from commenting further, except to say a huge thank you to everyone who has offered support, comments and PMs of which I am truly grateful to you.

For the others - hey ho! It has made interesting reading and been somewhat entertaining and I thank you too for your contributions.

Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and propserous 2009, may it bring you everything you wish-for and deserve.

:D

Well I'll tell you, then maybe you'll understand a little better ;)

The sort where gangs of youths gather, spitting and swearing outside the local off-licence, where they exchange drugs, or even knives maybe!

This was even endorsed by our very own "Jackie Smith" for shop owners to switch on this unit to disperse teenagers and it works!

Case studies show, that the "pitch" is so, that it can only be heard by teenagers - not by old folk, or babies alike. As their hearing pitch is lower ;)

Clever design. But what is laughable, is that you'd seriouly think I'd like this blasted out at old folk and kids  as if!

Assault, or no assault on thugs. I don't really care about them. If it dispearse's them quickly? Which it's been proven to do, then so be it!

I trust you now understand the point better? ;)

PS> Ask Tiny, she lives amongst this lawless lot!
