I'm not very good at thinking positively about this crappy weather, but any effort I was making came to a grinding halt this afternoon, along with my car, which got wedged on the ice half down my drive this pm. Enough already.

It was lucky I cleared our drive on Monday. It was still quite wintry this morning.

That would not be a terrible state of affairs for February, it can get quite snowy where we are and there's some blowing into the driveway. It is, however, not February.

If I was any further north/east i'd be screwed. My summer tires were on 2 weeks ago, and unlike most cars they are not all season tires, they are summer/warm weather sport tires.

BC Ministry of Transport announced on April 4 that winter tires will have to be on cars from October 1 until APRIL 30 as of the next winter season in certain areas of the province ...... ie October 2018 to end of April 2019.

The areas affected are the North and Southern Interior

Until that announcement, winter tires time was October 1 to March 31


There were still winter snow warnings for all mountain passes as of 2 nights ago.

There might well be flood warnings if our current sudden warm weather continues

The area around the CN Tower is closed for the 4th day due to falling ice from the tower. Whilst here in the UK it’s been 27c today. Oh well back to the city of falling ice tomorrow.

But it’s going to be 5 degrees tomorrow so you’ll be just fine!

Finally spring like in Vancouver.

Obviously not as bad as back east.

Uncovered the A/C and tested it this evening.

The snow here is that thick wet stuff that's hard to push through and, under it, there's a bed of ice. I saw four stuck vehicles this morning, most of them were unidentifiable grey blobs, but one was a Prius. I was childishly delighted at that.

Next week looks promising! Today snow

We’re going up to 8 degrees today. I’m very excited!!!!
