Why should I pay more than my wife when i've had 0 accidents and she has had 3 (1 of which was her fault).
In my mind in most accidents even if you are not 'blamed' you should still take some bear of the blame as it does take 2 people to crash.
Not that all accidents are like this but some are avoidable if the 'victim car' takes evasive action.

The women may be more careful in the UK.
But due to a significant amount of cars being automatic, the very common sight of a women chatting away on a cell phone and consumption of coffee or food on the highway would suggest that a noticeable percentage are far from safe
The mum in a hurry is reason enough to avoid travel in peak school hours, and again a noticeable participant in low speed rear-end shunts

At the moment we have a Kia Sedona - it has enough seats to hold all the kids, it is a comfortable ride, we could afford to pay for it in cash..
yes it isn't the most eco friendly option, but in reality the only time it is ever used is at the weekends - I don't drive much, Hubbs gets transit to work so the reality is that it is used for grocery shopping once a week and taking the kids out for days out once in a while
And since it is our only vehicle it makes sense to have one that can accommodate our entire family at once

The reduced insurance rate for women only really comes into play for new drivers with no history (after that it's down to your own history). So it's probably more to do with the stupidity of young men than the virtue of young women. However the House of Lords recently reported that "men consistently committed more than 85% of serious motoring offences, including 97% of dangerous driving offences" Now it is true that women on average drive less miles than men, but those are pretty huge differences!

You are kidding, right? Having less capacity isn't going to give you less congestion is it now? Regardless, your view that there are 'so little congestion' is completely incorrect. Even modest market towns in Yorkshire can be a nightmare at times. Try Malton/Norton at rush hour...it can take you 20 minutes to get from one side to another of a town of about 10,000 people and less than a couple of miles across.

Back in Scotland I had a Land Rover Discovery TDI...bloody marvelous vehicle! It was 8 years old then I had to sell it before emigrating and apart from a dodgy ignition barrel on one occasion, never had a problem with it. Really broke my heart having to leave it behind.
Here I have a Toyota Tundra truck. I live in a rural area and at our house I have been doing a load of renovations etc so it had been great for hauling materials etc. I also use it to tow my boat, works trailer and loads of other stuff. The 4 wheel drive option is very handy in the winter months as many of the roads I use are not plowed that well/often.
We also have a used Toyota Corolla which we use more often than not for shopping trips etc in the summer months...when it dies, we will scale down to just having the truck...

Back to the OP's question.
I've got a nice 2004 xj8 vanden plas in (almost) British Racing Green with tan leather.
It's great in winter too!
In summer I spend most of my time on this:
