From today's Guardian

Jumpers for goalposts. Crisps with little blue packets of salt in them. Warm beer. Nuns on bicycles. Quiet tolerance. Marmalade. Tutting in the post office queue. Tripping over tourists on Oxford street. Rain. Endless bloody rain. Cheese on toast for tea. Arguing over wether tea means dinner or tea. Sunlit fields. Maidens. Wicker men set on fire. Sheep dancing merrily to the slaughter. More tea. More biscuits. Quiet seething into the small morning hours. Twitching at net curtains. All the endless bloody poetry. Blackadder. Fawlty Owls. A heated towel rail. Common sense. Common virtue.

Indeed - you need quite high ceilings if you're planning to deliver six fast-medium dot-balls (right arm over the wicket, please, umpire) in your living room...
