I totally agree. When I say interesting, I mean reprehensible. I was thinking that "Freedom" ought to be rebutted with "Freeloader" (in the anti-vax context). "Freedom to oppress" is accurate too. Many of the protestors seem to have too much time on their hands, and no real outlet for their frustrations in life, so it all gets rolled into the abstract fight for "freedom".

I like the idea of discouraging them with Barry Manilow.

It's the Super Bowl today. Or, as I like to call it, the "Superbole". A bit like hyperbole but not as awesome.

I did enjoy the parties during the era of living with the Young American. Food, adverts, half time show. I don't think anyone even knew which teams were playing but that's not the point. Note that that was a huge (college) football household, her stepfather had been through med school on a scholarship as a quarterback. Important games meant silent attention but the SuperBowl is not one of those.

It isn't over, it is spreading like a viris.

Will there be food shortages caused by the 'Freedom' Convoys in Canada, US, France or Belgium?

I'm thinking that will depend on how trucks with food products will manage to keep delivering to supermarkets and businesses. 😕

It's not likely in Canada. The blockade is over now and there was no obvious shortage of food in the shops on Saturday.

Our internet is down until Monday at the earliest. Coping without Netflix, Prime etc. I'll be ok. I can cope.

That's where it's worth having a few things downloaded already, just to fall back on if needed.

Or go to the local market or store that has a Redbox unit and rent a few films. Watch shows on your phone but be sure it is plug into the charger.

Yes, I did think that that would have been a sensiblething to do. Probably won't get round to it even now.

Redbox? What is this?

It's back on now, a neighbour with "an important job" called them and was persuasive. Crisis averted.
