It's loverlee up there though. Put yer woolies on and sit round the firepit. We stayed in Lions Head many years ago and did just that.
The place we are renting is at Eagle Harbour a bit further North and on the West side.. :) |

We did, finally, thanks - after losing out on the other one we wanted just as we were booking it. It's not my first choice (or second or third) but it will do.
:) Yes, we've revised our plans of paddling, my sister out in the canoe and sitting on the balcony sipping wine looking at the sunset. Now it's thermals, blankets and 'camping coffee' (coffee with spirits) instead! The place we are renting is at Eagle Harbour a bit further North and on the West side.. :) The sunsets are lovely, we went to some beach or other to watch one. Was it The Singing Sands? I know we went there too, I didn't hear much singing but you'll know why. |

Charlee got stung by a wasp and stinger is stuck in her lip inside her mouth.
Now she is with wife on the way to the e-vet in a taxi as she appears to be having an allergic reaction. Dogs are like kids, they can never have issues during normal veterinarian business hours. |

Have you seen who he swapped his wife for. I never see the Sunday strips on Sundays as we don't have Sunday papers here, so I check the website occasionally. |

Well not, doctor was I meant, dogs and kids never seem to get hurt when the doctor is in, requiring an emergency doctor or urgent care doctor.

Good today. Some allergy medication and the removal of the stinger from her cheek fixed her up.

Of all the things your told on the ramp about the aircraft, the worst are the words air start. It's a relatively simply procedure, but most on the ramp agree it's not their favorite thing to do.

My sisters flight has been delayed by 12 hours, meaning she gets in at 2am. Frikkin nightmare.

It's just miserable working in heat. Lol

I realise this doesn't help at all, but that vanilla yoghurt supposedly should have made you happy

Major bug issue at YVR today. Swarms of little flies or something all over the ramp.
80% humidity, must be what Toronto feels like in summer. Lol |

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
As it is new year (the real new year, not the fake, January, hang-over extending one) I was thinking of healthy eating. Obviously summer means salad, but also bbq, wine, gin, wine and wine so I thought I'd try something new.
Those of you who know me (so just you Nicky) will know healthy food is not my strong suit but channelling my inner hipster, lentil-weaver I thought I'd try kale. God it stinks, and tastes just as bad. I ate it but I don't think the salt, pepper, butter and pea meal bacon it took to do so will have added to the health benefits. I steamed it. What did I do wrong? |

Its alright raw in a smoothie. Just make sure to put a banana in it to mask any unpleasant taste or smell.
Also bananas less and less appealing the older I get. Used to like them, but adding kale and blending sounds like a recipe for green slime

You took it home. This is the moment to eschew healthy eating, start on roast dinners and stews and to switch to heavier reds. If there is a moment for kale, it is a moment for someone else.
