Why did we humans evolve in a way where hair thins on our head (well not everyone but a good amount) as we age, but seems to have no problem sprouting up like the nose and ears, getting older is a lot of work.

I'd certainly take something like this into consideration as one who never throws anything away unless I can't make an attempt at repair.
But.. you can hear the squeals, it'll cost more etc.etc. nobody wants it... and. and.. and....
But how many would buy a car that was labelled.. "Repairability 0%" I wonder?
As an oldie, the maxim "Make do and mend" still forms a basis for a frugal way of life.

As a society we should really move back towards the repair rather than replace model for so much of our stuff. Would require higher prices at time of purchase, but long run probably cheaper than replacing every 5-10 years.

And companies need to stop making their products so they cannot be repaired.

Companies that make aquarium filters are getting bad, in the past the filter box and pump could be seperated, so if the pump fried or died, you could just replace the pump. Now some companies are enclosing the pump into the plastic filter box, so when the pump dies the entire filter is useless and you have to buy a completely new one.

I wonder if the items I ordered for the cat will actually arrive on Monday from Amazon. I ordered them last Monday, but they haven't even shipped yet.

Yes, well she already has one, we adopted him last week. Oliver, about 2 years old. Gets along with the dog perfectly. Eating like a champ now, he is a little skinny and the adoption place said he was a finicky eater, but he has eaten everything I have offered, so maybe was just nervous and not eating much, or they were feeding him food he didn't care for, but finicky he is not.

I’m starting to gear up for Christmas. I want an electric scooter from F. Christmas. It’s the least the cad can do.

Are they popular - or even legal - in Vancouver? The rental e-scooters are very popular in many European cities, but they have become a terrible eyesore... they're just left everywhere. Some councils have banned them completely, some only allow rental use, some allow private ownership (think there's an insurance timebomb waiting there...). There's also the question of whether they're allowed to be used on the pavement/sidewalk, bicycle lanes or roads. I wouldn't fancy one in North America if you're only allowed on the roads.

Guy tries to find the bath in this house

It's been a few years since we lived in a wood framed building, forgot how much noisier they were. Can hear the water in the pipes when the person above flush their toilet, or take a shower. Not the noisiest wood frame building, but certainly not as quiet as concrete.

The flooring seems to be well insulated, don't hear every footstep in the above unit like some wood buildings.
